Our Pennies for Patients 2019 Campaign is officially off to a great start. Our theme this year is: Every Hero Needs a Squad. Each year, DVA raises money, through our Pennies for Patients program, for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. In the past several years, DVA has contributed over $100,000 to LLS in the fight against blood cancers. This year, our school-wide goal is $12,000. Each classroom has set a goal of $300.
We have built in some incentives for our students:
$5000: Mrs. Weigel will spend the day “wheeling” around the school
$10,000: The students will vote on a color to dye Mrs. Weigel’s hair
$12,000: All school assembly where the teachers will silly string Mrs. Weigel. A check, from DVA, will be presented to LLS.
The winning class: Mrs. Weigel will teach the class. The teacher will be treated to a few hours off campus; including coffee, muffins and a massage!
