LETTER FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Thank you for considering Desert View Academy (DVA). I’m certain that this is an exciting time for you, as you ponder the right place to make your impact on young lives.
If you are looking to join a team of highly effective educators, who believe that character counts, then you would love our DVA team. I cannot speak highly enough about the people who dedicate themselves to the students in our school community.
Desert View Academy (DVA) is a K-5 public charter school located in sunny Yuma, Arizona. We have the honor of being in the Guinness World Record book as the Sunniest Place on Earth!
Our home is a beautiful new campus, constructed in 2015. DVA is a top rated school, focusing not only on success in academics, but also raising up students of strong moral character. We have state of the art technology integrated into every classroom to equip students with the skills necessary to succeed in today’s world. Each new teacher is assigned a mentor to assist with the transition to DVA. Class sizes are limited to 28 students, and when full, students are put on a waiting list.
Here is what a few of our parents have to say about Desert View Academy:
“Class! Class! Yes! Yes!” If you are looking for a top-notch education, in a world-class facility, with outstanding educators, look no further! Desert View Academy is a jewel in the midst of the desert. Whole Brain Teaching, incorporating visual, auditory, and kinetic learning is done on a daily basis. Educators who believe it is their vocation teach here. These students are Smart Cookies who love school! ALL (including parents and our community of volunteers) are encouraged to grow and learn in a positive, nurturing environment. Come join us: grow and glow! Cathleen J. Wolff
“DVA is an outstanding school, the school demonstrates a spirit of excellence in all that they do. The staff CARES about their students and it clearly shows in and out of the classroom”. Amy Grace
I know from experience that DVA will do all that is possible where the education of your child is concerned. My son is provided every opportunity imaginable to ensure his success. Considering his disability, I would not have him attend any other school in Yuma. James Grace
Being a teacher and a parent at Desert View Academy is the best of both worlds! Not only am I able to provide students with a top-notch education, I know my daughter is receiving the same from an amazing school and staff! Stacey Platt
